It’s lovely Jubilee at Jamie Magazine!

The new issue of Jamie Oliver’s award-winning food title is packed with wonderful British food fit for the Queen!

“It’s a pretty exciting time for us in Britain right now” says Jamie Oliver. “With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics just around the corner, the world’s focus is firmly set on this little island of ours.”

What better time, then, to celebrate the depth, diversity and quality of UK food? So Jamie selects his Top Ten British ingredients, from rhubarb to arbroath smokies – and offers a recipe for each. There are classic sponge sandwich cakes, retro treats from Jamie’s Union Jacks restaurants, and Great British puddings from Quo Vadis chef Jeremy Lee.

And that’s not all. To mark the jubilee, Jamie asks six top chefs from across the Commonwealth which dish they would choose to cook for the Queen – and presents his own Royal Barbecued Pork Loin to get the ball rolling.

All this, plus a foodie guide to Bristol, a profile of the UK’s leading rare-breed farmers and a dish a day, every day in our Weekly Menus section, makes the new issue of Jamie Magazine something to write home about.

Issue 29 of Jamie Magazine is published on Thursday 17 May 2012. Priced £3.99, it is available in most supermarkets, branches of WHSmith, and in leading independent newsagents.
